WHAT IS ANDROID??


Ever wonder what is android?? what so special about this android thing?? how come androids are so popular??? well, it's because the android OS (operating system) offers high speed processing technologies... Android is an OS like Symbian OS which was being use by Nokia since long time ago... Unlike Symbian, android had been used by wider range of mobile phones makers like Sony Ericsson, HTC, Samsung and many more.. Android inc. was the company that build this system and was purchased by Google inc. Together with a few other companies, they called themselves Open Handset Alliance had developed this operating system based on the Linux Kermel.. they furthered their development to build the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) which had become World's best selling operating system...

Android 2.3 Gingerbread

So, what makes this OS a wold's best selling?? well, the android offers UI (User Interface) that looks like the iOS that was used by Apple Iphone... Unlike the photo (above), the android had taken a new step to bring a new phenomenon to the world of mobile phones... thus, the Gingerbread (photo) was developed.. the Gingerbread is the latest firmware for the android phones... This firmware was recently reveiled on the Sony Ericsson ARC. Next, the android also offer a wide range of softwares developed by users for the users... all the softwares are available on the Android Market... Since the Android inc. is a google company, Google inc also offers some Google applications for example the Google Voice and other applications... other than that, the android OS is one of the most stable softwares that is used on a mobile phones.. So, if you are an Androidian, don't worry about your phones go hang because it is unlikely to happen..
